Clinical pathways of patients with lung cancer followed in the Inspire Program in Botucatu, Brazil: an exploratory study

Resumo

Introdução: A análise de percursos assistenciais em câncer de pulmão permite compreender a organização do cuidado e identificar oportunidades de melhoria no sistema de saúde. Objetivo: Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar, de forma exploratória, os percursos clínicos de pacientes atendidos pelo Programa Inspire, em Botucatu, Brasil. Métodos: Estudo retrospectivo com dados de pacientes acompanhados entre janeiro de 2023 e outubro de 2024. Foram analisados registros clínicos e administrativos por meio de técnicas de mineração de processos, permitindo a avaliação da frequência de atividades e dos intervalos entre etapas do cuidado. Resultados: Foram incluídos oito pacientes (idade média 63,5 anos; 62,5% mulheres), com predominância de diagnóstico em estágios avançados (37,5% estágio IV). Antes do tratamento, destacaram-se atendimentos na atenção primária (17,8%) e exames laboratoriais (13,4%). Após o diagnóstico, exames laboratoriais (22,9%) e radioterapia (16,6%) foram mais frequentes. Observou-se variação dos percursos conforme o estadiamento, com maior uso de cirurgia nos estágios iniciais e terapias combinadas nos avançados. Houve heterogeneidade nos tempos entre etapas do cuidado. Conclusão: Os percursos assistenciais evidenciam elevada complexidade e variabilidade, reforçando o potencial da mineração de processos para análise organizacional do cuidado em oncologia.
